First Blood


Ge 4:8  And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and SLEW him.

Mt 23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that KILLEST the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not!

2Ki 24:4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent BLOOD; which the LORD would not pardon.

Jer 2:34  Also in thy skirts is found the BLOOD of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.


De 21:8 Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent BLOOD unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.


De 19:10 That innocent BLOOD be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance, and [so] blood be upon thee.


Re 11:7  And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and KILL them.


Re 11:8  And their DEAD BODIES [shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.


Joh 16:2  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever KILLETH you will think that he doeth God service.


Re 6:10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our BLOOD on them that dwell on the earth?


De 32:43  Rejoice, O ye nations, [] his people: for he will avenge the BLOOD of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his people.


Isa 1:21  How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.


Joe 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence [against] the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent BLOOD in their land.


Isa 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent BLOOD: their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction [are] in their paths.


Mt 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous BLOOD shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Lu 11:51 From the BLOOD of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.



SUMMARY: Apparently, God is concerned with those who KILL His prophets by shedding BLOOD. And it looks like Jerusalem (now unsaved church, Babylon) was the first to shed blood: both literally but more so spiritually in tribulation as they seek to silence the voice of the Elect with false gospels.
