Ge 17:23 And Abraham (father of a multitude) took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with HIS MONEY, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
Ge 23:9 That he may give me (Abraham) the cave of Machpelah (double or portion), which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much MONEY as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.
Jer 32:9 And I (Jeremiah) bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the MONEY, even seventeen shekels of silver.
Ge 47:15-16 And when MONEY failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us BREAD: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth

Mt 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of SILVER in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
SUMMARY Apparently the Bible is associating MONEY with the redemptive power of Christ. His Blood is said to be the money that paid the ransom for His Elect. But it's done FREELY as a GIFT. But, in judgment, the unsaved church, Babylon trusted in her OWN redemptive power (money, riches, false gospel). They merchandise (buy and sell) their gospel rather than offering it freely.
