Roaring Lion

 



1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as A ROARING LION, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

29  Their ROARING [] LIKE A LION, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry [it] away safe, and none shall deliver [it].


Am 3:8  The LION HATH ROARED, who will not fear? the LORD GOD HATH SPOKEN, who can but prophesy?


Pr 19:12  The king’s wrath [is] as THE ROARING OF A LION; but his favour [is] as dew upon the grass.


Pr 20:2 The fear of a king [is] as the ROARING OF A LION: [whoso] provoketh him to anger sinneth [against] his own soul.


Isa 31:4 For thus hath the LORD SPOKEN UNTO ME, Like as the lion and the young LION ROARING on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, [he] will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.


Ho 11:10 They shall walk after the LORD: he shall ROAR LIKE A LION: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.


Isa 5:30  And in that day they shall roar against them like the ROARING OF THE SEA: and if [one] look unto the land, behold darkness [and] sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.


Lu 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the SEA AND THE WAVES ROARING;

1Ch 16:32 Let the SEA ROAR, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that [is] therein.

Re 10:1 And I saw another MIGHTY ANGEL come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [] upon his head, and his face [] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Re 10:2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth,

Re 10:3 And cried with a loud voice, as [] a LION ROARETH: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I WILL MAKE MY WORDS IN THY MOUTH FIRE, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.



SUMMARY: It appears that GOD Himself is the LION THAT ROARS in judgment. However, He does so through the false prophets. His Word in the mouth of the wicked as we read in Jeremiah 5:14.
