The Blood of ALL the Prophets

Lu 11:50  That the BLOOD of all the prophets, which was SHED from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; Mt 23:35  That upon you may come all the righteous BLOOD SHEED upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Isa 1:15  And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of BLOOD.

De 19:10  That innocent BLOOD BE NOT SHED in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance, and [] blood be upon thee.

La 4:13  For the sins of her prophets, [] the iniquities of her priests, that have SHED THE BLOOD of the just in the midst of her,

Ro 3:15  Their feet [are] swift to SHED BLOOD:

Joe 3:19  Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence [against] the children of Judah, because they have SHED innocent BLOOD in their land.

Eze 36:18  Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the BLOOD that they had SHED upon the land, and for their idols [wherewith] they had polluted it:

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without SHEDDING OF BLOOD is no remission.

Eze 39:16  And also the name of the city [shall be] Hamonah. Thus shall they CLEANSE THE LAND.

Eze 22:24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is NOT CLEANSED, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

Eze 39:12  And seven months  shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may CLEANSE THE LAND.

Nu 35:33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the BLOOD that is SHED therein, but by the BLOOD of him that SHED it.

Eze 39:14  And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, TO CLEANSE IT: after the end of seven months shall they search.

Da 8:14  And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the SANCTUARY BE CLEANSED.

Jer 46:10  For this [is] the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may AVENGE him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Re 6:10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and AVENGE OUR BLOOD on them that dwell on the earth?

Re 16:6  For they have SHED THE BLOOD of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them BLOOD to drink; for they are worthy.

Re 19:2  For true and righteous [are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the BLOOD of his servants at her hand.

SUMMARY: Apparently, shedding blood is something that the church has been involved with from the first martyr, Abel, who was killed by his brother Cain. These pointed spiritually to the Elect who would be killed in tribulation. Cleansing the land seems to be the language of judgment as God allowed the church to destroy itself at the revelation of Christ.
