The Bible appears to be equating the number 13 to both judgment and Salvation at the END of time (church age); Both spiritually as it relates to God judging and redeeming the church and historically as it relates to the calendar. Twelve (12) seems to relate to the complete or fullness of the body of Christ. Out of that body ONE would often rebel (typifying Babylon) but would be replaced (12+1=13) to achieve the perfect 12 again.
